wall butterflies in same place as last year by a trig point near Keeper's Cottage. Sunny , dry area surrounded with bushes, blackthorn, hawthorn, brambles, nettles. Small copper and holly blues in Summerhouses meadow which is just springing to life with yellow rattle, clover, buttercups, speedwell. Have a better picture of the wall but struggled to download as cannot see the downloaded photo and whether it is the right photo.

After a cloudburst, a careful search with Trevor Grange revealed ONE single specimen. We walked about 700M along the cutting and back again. Other butterflies seen: Small White, Green-Veined White, Orange Tip, Small Tortoiseshell, Brimstone, Small Copper, Common Blue and (most numerous) Small Heath (maybe 10). Just before we left we saw a single fresh Large White.
